Hi Folks, Santa gave me a mini trampoline for Christmas so that in the dark nights I can do something rather than sit in front of the TV and grow!! I've used it for the past 3 nights for 30 mins and have worked up a sweat and got the lungs working. Does anyone else have one of these things? Are they any good? I'm in training for my first 5k race at Carlisle in mid-Jan and am hopeful that this contraption is going to help!!...xx

They’re good Apparently! Can you not go out for a run? 🙂
I do run Tues and Thurs with local AC, and some weekends, but as we live in a rural area (can't even see a street light from our house), it's not sensible to run on the roads in the dark. That's why I'm jogging on the mini tramp - can really feel it in my butt cheeks after 4 days so must be doing some good...will persevere anyway...xx

Well - yes and no!!! There is no doubt that doing "something" in the way of movement is better then doing nothing. However, after an extended period of no-running for the past 6 months, I have been going to the gym 5 days per week and riding a bicycle in an effort to maintain my fitness , but now that I am returning to running, I am finding it very hard. There is nothing like running IMO!!

My niece lives in the sticks and road running with no pavements is just unsafe. If you can drive it’s a matter of driving to somewhere suitable 🙂
