Just about managed the 25 minute run yesterday to start week 7. The last few weeks I’ve been running on a treadmill but back to the fresh air I went and really struggled to control my breathing. A friend has suggested going slower... but I can’t go much slower, I’m a bit of a plodder. Any advice?
I really want to nail the second and third runs this week.

It is very simple, if you can't breathe you need to go slower.
You should be able to hold a conversation while you run.......that is the definition of an easy pace........which is the speed all C25Kers should run at. It doesn't matter if you can walk faster.
You can always run slower, it's the running motion that's needed not the speed. I can walk faster a lot than my slowest run speed. The treadmill may have upset your idea of speed as you can see what you've plugged in whereas outside you need to go by feel which is generally slower. And don't forget outside takes more concentration re terrain, traffic, pedestrians, weather etc...
