I do about ten mins on the exercise bike before heading out and ten mins after the cool down, nothing remotely intense, but it's really helped prevent the usual calf strains, shin splints, cramping etc and any after effects that I experienced in my previous c25k attempts.
Not everyone has access to an exercise bike, it sounds like it works for you and is helping to stretch out your calfs after your run. You could still do these afterwards though.😊x
It's been more to give my damaged ligaments a warning that they're about to work lol The calves have been a bonus side effect having tried longer warm ups before and always including stretches both sides so just thought I'd share the joyous revelation haha. Appreciated Jan (y) x
