Fidget spinning for adults.

I was at an event last week and heard two separate conversations about C25K. Oh no, I suddenly realised that I have got myself involved in the latest craze, again. On looking through some old photos my children christened me "flarey Mary", but thought I had put all that behind me after those ridiculous platform shoes. Avoided being a MAMIL and have no interest The Gadget Show, but here I am doing C25K without really knowing how it happened.

Am sure the only way to get it out of your system is to do it. Have finished week 1 and enjoyed, probably because I could do it. Have suffered a bit with tight calf muscles as I have read have other. Interested to see what I think about this craze when the going gets a bit tougher.

Don't think of it as a craze, think of it as the new you! This programme is great and of I can do it anybody can. Happy running :-)

brilliant start, and as you have said... just do it. Its the best way not to allow any devious thought processes to steer you off :)

I like your use of the word devious. Was not looking for an excuse, not just yet anyway, but was amazed to overhear two conversations about C25K at an event with nothing to do with running or fitness. I had completed run 1 of week 1 that day so even more flabbergasted.

The C25k goddess is everywhere :)

C25K is a codeword for people doing amazing things, we are stealthy running ninjas - many people talk about it, but aren't necessarily doing it...

What goes on in C25K stays in C25K!

Happy running fellow stealth ninja

It might be your latest craze but C25K was devised in 1996, so hardly a short lived fad, although it does rise in the popular consciousness from time to time.

Maybe we are approaching the critical mass when more people are aware of it than not.

I had started running a bit when I suddenly remembered that my cousin and his wife had done C25k together and a whole new world had opened up for them. That was years ago (and they are now committed runners). But I didn't realise how widespread it had become.

I'm also now realising that Rome is FULL of running clubs. Yesterday I got overtaken by a herd of "Rome Road Runners" and there are scores of others around with t-shirts bearing other similar names. They remind me of the Life of Brian - the People's Front of Judea, the Judean People's Front etc... :)

Big well done for getting started, that's the hardest part often.

It won't get tougher- each run gets you ready for the next one one. However, some runs may be tougher in your brain! That's when you have to tell yourself to shush and ignore yourself with determination. 😃

Thanks for the encouragement. Quite high after first run and excited to do next one. However, when the next run time arrived was not quite so enthusiastic.
