Ran W5 R2 today, after a late night out and one beer I felt tired and hungover- I rarely drink. My OH warned me it was raining and I'm pleased to say it didn't put me off, I was still looking forward to my run.
First 8 minutes, great, feeling strong. Recovered well then final 8 minutes felt like a lifetime. Thought about all the advice I've seen on here and in between begging Sanjeev to tell me I was half way through I heard you all saying, slow and steady, so I slowed down a bit and just pushed a bit for the final 60 secs.
It was hard, I thought I hadn't enjoyed it, then realised I was grinning from ear to ear because I'd done it, and the post beer sluggishness was gone.
