I've been trying to persuade my husband to start C25k for the last 18 months and he has always flatly said "no". Exercise wasn't for him. Not for weight loss, fitness, to keep me company or for any other reason. Then, he changed his mind and started last week.
Today was W2R1 and me and his half marathon (next year, marathon) running friend joined him for the run. Despite barely being able to run for a minute last week, he seems to have developed speed and stamina. It won't be long before he leaves me and John behind. He was disappointed when the run ended as he wanted to go further! Of course, he's 6'3", more than a foot taller than me, and he's got great long legs, so I shouldn't be surprised he's faster than I was in week 2.
I haven't managed to persuade him to join this forum yet but, if he ever does read this post, I am really proud of him for overcoming his hatred of anything that counts as exercise.
