Hi I recently signed up to do this c25k I completed week 1 in a week and started week 2 about a week later. My first run passed ok but on my 2nd run of the week on the second 90 second run my calf went right as soon as I set off. I rested this for a couple of days and exactly the same happened again on the 2nd 90 second run but it is more painfulnow. I have rested and tried walking uphill but it still gets tight and painful.
I used to run 10k and the odd half marathon years ago albeit slowly but never had this problem before. Any advice gratefully received. Thanks in anticipation.

Oh no, that's not a good start! I'm sorry, but you'll most likely want to pause the running for a while. The best way forward is stretching, foam rollering and walking. Those calves are tight and need loosening. Do a brisk walk, say 20 minutes, two times a day, and do warm-down stretches afterwards. And foam rollering... look at some foam-roller calf stretches on youtube to get an idea.
When you return to running, extend the warm-up walk from 5 to 10 or 15 minutes to really loosen up your calves. We'll get you back to running, don't worry.
