Hurrah, W8R3 completed this morning, on to week 9.
I took a few days break after the last run because my achilles tendon was feeling a bit sore when I pinched it, so I figured I would give it some time to settle down. More heel drops, strength exercises etc. Think I am getting to the length of runs where I will need to be doing strength/ flexibility etc between runs, as I know my ankle is weak.
The great thing about having a few days out is that you come back to it fresh and notice all kinds of new things. Such as that sports bra #1 has some extra hooks that I hadn't noticed before -- I've been doing it up wrong all this time (!) And my socks have L and R written on them. Who knew?
Nice slow, steady run this morning. Think I am getting better at gauging pace too!
3 runs to go

You are learning very well that running is so much more than putting one leg in front of the other. Listening to your body and finding out how to keep it working, finding your way through sports clothing and being offended by the patronising sock manufacturers, who believe that runners are too thick to know which foot is which.
