Can't quite believe I've just achieved that...and dare I say it quite enjoyed it. Yes it was slow (11 mins/km) but its a lot faster than 6 weeks ago sitting on the couch.
This program is amazing...I can actually see myself achieving 20 minutes on my next run (Friday as I'm away down to south of England with work the rest of this week and dont fancy running unknown streets of Luton in the dark!)
Can I just say thank you for all the support on this forum, im so glad i joined when I failed w1r1 and took your advise!

Well done, I've found speed doesn't matter, like you said a lot faster than we used to be I started week 6 today and am really enjoying this programme 👍😀
I don't know what your maths is like, but you just ran for sixteen minutes, plus five minutes walking......... total 21 minutes.
That's more than W5R3, so of course you can do it.
Ooh it's all getting really exciting now!! I remember W5R2 feeling really good. I think these two weeks, 5 and 6, you're kind-of consolidating what you've already done. So consider this run a welcome confidence boost before run 3.
About that... remember you've already run that time, albeit with a little power-walk inbetween, so you'll be fine. I promise it's totally do-able, and you'll feel fantastic after it. Just remember not to over-cook it at the beginning. Find your comfortable pace... then slow down You can always speed up in the last minute or two if you have something left to give.
Can't wait to hear your run report for Friday!! All the best,
