Dreading my run tomorrow... 2 lots of 8 minutes! I do my running in the gym on the treadmill as I feel going to the gym makes me do it! Can I have some advice! From 5 minutes to 8 minutes is a big jump!

I've just done this tonight....its really not that bad at all (and from me that's saying something...i failed week 1 run 1!). I thought i would struggle but it was doable. Just go nice and slow. You can do this!

Got back from the gym a couple of hours ago, I too use a treadmill mainly because I’d never be motivated to run outside. Just completed Week 5 Run 2 and coped a lot better than I thought. A few weeks ago I struggled with running for a minute so feeling pretty pleased at the moment! My tip is take it nice and slow. Don’t be tempted to go too fast. I try to avoid looking at the app and the timer on the treadmill. Good luck you will do it and feel great afterwards. X

Don’t panic its not near as bad as you think just watch your pace don’t start off too fast. There is as much to the positive mind as there is in the physical running!! Trust the program as it works... take it slow & slower still till you get to the end! Good luck😊

Just what Pc59 says! Slow and steady and you'll ace it. Good luck 😉

Every session you have done so far has prepared you for the next run. It can be done as I proved. Just take it slow and steady 👍

Start slowly, get yourself into a rhythm and let you mind drift off where it wants to go. But don't. I mean don't. Focus on the time ticking away. You body is capable, if you have followed the programme to this point. What you need to do now is train your mind to believe it.

You can do it! 😊

And you’ll feel great when you do - give it a go and just slow down if you feel a bit tired. Sounds obvious but keep control of your breathing, I found I breathed shallow early on which didnt me help much.

Well done for getting to week 5!

Nope...just another run... one slow and steady step after the other... trust the programme and have faith in YOU!

Don't forget the walking intervals. You may consider them to be a break from running but they are part of your total workout time.

W5R1 is fifteen minutes of running and six of walking. W5R2 is sixteen minutes of running and five minutes walking...........not a lot of difference.
