Welcome.
If you have not run before, or for a long time, this is the place to be.
The C25K programme will get you running for thirty minutes in about nine weeks, that, depending on your fitness levels, may enable you to run 5k in that time, but if not, you will likely be pretty close.
It is a gently progressive training plan based on duration, rather than speed, which has a great success rate. It is available as an app or podcasts available from here nhs.uk/LiveWell/c25k/Pages/...
Graduates of this plan have gone on to run marathons and ultras, but this is the best way to start.
