Any advice please. I had just finished Week 8, run 3 when I developed a knee injury. I rested it for a week and did the first run of week 9 without pain...but the next days was in agony. I've now rested by knee for a further 3 weeks. It's ok and I really want to try and run again, but can't bear the thought of starting at week one, but also know I'm unlikely to be able to carry on from where I left off.
Has anyone else suffered similarly and what did you do?
Thanks

Oh no, what a nightmare for you I've struggled with my right knee for a couple of weeks and really had to pull back. Yours sounds much worse though
There are people far more qualified than I to offer advice, but you have my sympathy as I know a bit of what you're going through. Have you seen a doctor?
I was on week 8 when I chipped a bone in my ankle thanks to my dog dragging me down a cliff path! I was out for five weeks and really thought I’d have to start from the beginning again but I was surprised by how little fitness I lost. I think I did a run from week 3 and one from week 5 and they were both fine so I just carried on with week 9 from there.
Wishing you a speedy recovery from your knee injury. Try not to be to disheartened and make sure you allow yourself enough time to heal. Good luck!
I was developing and nursing injuries for longer than any sane human would so I got finally, badly, injured on my lovely graduation day.
When your knee is injured the trouble won't go away, rest or not. You need a professional to asses it and that's not a GP who will give you pain killers and ask you to rest up, we are looking at a sports physio here.
The extent of your injury will determine the length of your recovery but in the meantime there is nothing worse than attempting to run through pain, that could make it much worse.
Soo. After l graduated and healed properly (it took months) l simply repeated the whole program, from day one, and why not? It's unlikely that any of us will hit the Olympics so may as well take our time
