Just got back & while I was running I had a lightbulb moment...I need 15 minutes to warm up!!! 5 minutes walking, as we’ve all been told during the programme, but then the next 10 minutes were spent doing a mixture of running & walking (mostly running whilst being heckled by the binmen!!) with walking in between....after that, well, what can I say? My legs were completely alien to me, I think someone must’ve swapped them for someone else’s, I was like a Duracell battery, I just went on & on & on...when I was approaching the road where I’d parked the car my head turned towards it...but my legs didn’t, they carried on to the next road...and passed the other end of the road where I’d parked...& did the whole flippin circuit again...all by themselves!!! So I ended up doing 5.3kms in 41 mins...AND I FEEL RUNTASTIC!!!!! 🏃🏼♀️🏃🏼♀️🏃🏼♀️🏃🏼♀️
Thank you to everyone who replied on my last post...I have shook it up a bit, drove somewhere new, changed my music...it works...you lot are just too blooming good at this!!!! 😉

Lol....I was tempted!! You should’ve seen their faces though when they saw me on my 2nd lap!!! They did look pretty surprised...I didn’t look as tidy as they saw me the first time round!!! Ha ha ha...do it HeadInTheClouds ...have extra warm up time...I’d say up to 15 mins, do what I did...normal warm up walk then set off slow & run for as long as you can with out tiring out completely & repeat..then set off properly...fingers crossed it works for you...I’ll look out for your next post xx good luck xx
i have found for ages the 5 minute warm up walk doesn't do the trick at all, and that i only warm up half way through my womble jog, might try this next time i am out see if it makes a difference
Yes, I'll definitely give it a go ... after my W7R2 last night, I'll try anything to get that runtastic feeling (any bloody feeling other than knackered, to be honest)
Sooooooo glad you've found what works for you!! Such a lovely post to read. It's horrid when you don't know how to make it better. Sock it to 'em ...bin men included! No stopping you now!! 😄😄🏃♀️👏👏
Yay, you’ve got your mojo back. Seems like you had some robot legs going on. So pleased you enjoyed your run. Heres to perseverance and determination. You go girl 🙋🏻🙌🏻🎉🏃🏻♀️👏🏼
Really Well done to you , isn't it just one of the greatest feelings ever when a run just clicks into place ? It definitely is what you say " A Light bulb moment "
Ive had some really rubbish runs in my time, one time I was passing a skip and I felt like throwing all my running gear into it , and then myself in after. Its runs like this though that make it all worthwhile .
You showed true Yorkshire grit and determination . You've got it in buckets !! ( Theres a few of us Yorkies on here )
Hey my super bionic, robotic, runtastico friend..... That is AMAZING!!!!! 😁😲😲🏃♀️🏃♀️We will try any method of making our run better and rejuvenating our mojo. Go for it xx
It’s all the responses I got to my post..the advice & experience from my friends on here is absolutely priceless...I can’t believe this world has been going on without me?!!! My life wasn’t complete & I didn’t know!!!
