I was at week 5 of my couch to 5k with the lovely Sarah millican spurring me on, when I developed shin splints and now haven't run for just over 2 weeks 😞, do I just try and pick up where I left off or am I setting myself up for failure?? And how do I stop the shin splints happening again?? Any advice greatly appreciated, my running gear is calling me!!! TIA

How do you know for sure that it's actually shin splints ?

I too got shin splints doing C25k. Gait analysis and proper shoes sorted this very quickly!!

Well.. as long as you have been exercising in between..head out again now..moving on and keeping it steady and slow. try very hard to land lightly too! Kissing the ground with your feet is what I call it
Slow down a tad maybe and make sure your shoes are okay too...

Try picking up where u left off and if u struggle go back a week , no shame and no race as long as u reach the end eventually x
