Hi. This makes 2 of us. I work at night and especially at weekends. When working nights I'm absolutely drained. But what I do is run on Monday, Wednesday & Friday. At work friday, Saturday night and sometimes Sunday during the day. If I'm not working Sunday I would try to run on Sunday but seeing as I've just worked the 2 nights before, struggling with lack of sleep and also all I do all night is go up and down stairs, I may not run until the Monday. Running when your body is exhausted is a recipe for disaster.

If I was able to work day shifts though, I would try to run before I go to work. Reason being is because after a run I feel fine. I'm energised and can go on but after a shift at work I'm drained. Plus add on the travelling to and from work. After work running would probably not work for me.

I hope you work it out.

I don't have experience of this but that never stopped me giving my opinion :)

Seriously though, this programme is not set in steel, you can mould it to meet your needs and to fit in with your lifestyle. I regularly miss a few days due to work and other stuff. I think its better to run rested than to stick rigidly to a programme. So, run every other day if you can, or have two or three extra 'days off' running if necessary. It may take you a little longer to complete but that doesn't matter :) If you make it too rigid, it will be harder to set up a habit for life. Good luck :)

Yes - I’m the same. I work long days- earlys lates weekends and a the matter of my little family too. Sometimes it’s a nightmare to fit it all in 24 Hours but I do. Take today. Up at 6:30. Out the door to work 7:30 Home at 5:30. Tea for youngest child - football training at 6:00 Tea for eldest child and hubby- go for run 8pm. Bath tea. Bed. Oh yeah those little in between bits- you know washing up- laundry. Night time stories etc etc..... Time management and a supportive family 😍 lol writing all that I’ve started to wonder how I actually do fit it in........
