Ok, don't worry about the distance, I know the program is called Couch to 5k but it really doesn't mean that you have to aim to get there straight away, even when you get to week 9 you may not be hitting 5k.
Are you setting off at a run or a light jog? Slow and steady is the way to go.

We need a few pointers to get us started lol...first wk or two can seem daunting, but just take it one run at a time and you will be amazed!! I have one run to do before graduation and I NEVER thought I would do it!! Have faith, it works 😜
Okay, your early runs are only 60 seconds, and as I recall my own, 100 metres is not uncommon. We all gasped at the 60 seconds and if you haven't done any exercise then it's a push.
Please don't fret at this stage, the distance surprisingly ramps up, but it ramps up for your level and yours alone.
Your initial fitness level, the type of run ( in or outside), the surface, the gradient, all these affect your distances. That's why it's all about the time spent - because if you've done 2 runs already, that's 2 more than last week. So please don't be downhearted, in a couple of weeks you will giggle both at your distance covered and the fact that you struggled with 60 seconds.
I never got to 5k at graduation in 30 minutes and a month later still haven't..., but I am running three times a week and so will you.
Good luck.

Just keep going, however slow or long it takes you. It's a massive thing to even have the courage to start this - so many people would look at not bother or not even consider getting of their backsides. Well done you:)!!!

Keep going. If you cannot complete all runs, do as many as you can, and after a rest day, repeat this run. It is hard in the beginning, as your body needs to learn what's going on and what to do with it
And, if it's hard it means that you are progressing. If it would be easy, it means that you just sustain your fitness level, not improve it
Good luck, don't give up!
