After 6 attempts I have finally managed to do one of the Week 4 runs. I am not one of the younger runners and really did start from the couch! Really pleased I've finally done it and assume it's best to repeat this run two more times before moving on to Week 5. Thanks to everyone who writes such supportive comments on this site.

You are doing fantastic- well done for completing the first run of week 4 just complete the week 4 runs (which are achievable and you know you can do it). Then move on to week 5 - just take it slow and steady.

Thank you for the encouragement. You're right about slow and steady. I find it hard to run slowly but made a big effort to slow it down today which must have helped.

Yeay!!!!!

Just relax.... take it slow and steady and then slower:)

Just move onto the next runs of this week, after your rest days of course... and then move on to Week 5... you are ready for it:)

I don't know why I find it hard to start off slowly but I'll remember your words next time I run - slow and then slower! Thanks for the encouragement.
