Well I done my first run walk today. Managed to finish it but found it hard. I am a 59 and so unfit woman lol!!!!! Gave up work a few weeks ago and had a job where I was on my feet all the time. Felt I needed to do something. Set my reminder for my next run/walk Friday.
Thrilled: Well I done my first run walk today... - Couch to 5K
Thrilled
Well done You have started on what becomes a great adventure in life
Yay, well done. 59! Great age to start! 🙂
Silly age to start lol!!!! My brain still thinks I am 21.
You've done the hardest part - getting started. Keep posting on here and you'll get loads of support and encouragement!
Top job, well done Patty. It's all progress from here and you'll soon be amazed at what you can achieve.
Just take it very slow and steady...and you will get there..just keep posting!!
Welcome to the best running club in the world, you've done the hardest part. I hope you kicked the sofa long and hard! Basic rules of the forum are:-
Take a pic of new trainers, so we can all drool...Oh and then go shopping, I wonder if Google ever realised the power of a C25K trainers pic?
Post a pic if you're somewhere new, we love a tourist running pic! Basically this gives us all an excuse to go travelling...
Anything else really up to you, if you want to post about your runs - fab, if you need help or encouragement, we will see what we can do to support you.
Have a nice rest today, and good luck for Friday. Btw just being nosy which coach did you choose?
Happy running....
Thanks for all your comments and advice. I will keep in touch with my progress.
Went with Michael Johnson for my coach today. Will try the others out.
Ooh Mr Smooth, I did all mine with him, love him to bits.... good luck next time out
Welcome and well done.
My legs ache today!!!!!! Hope they feel better by tomorrow for my 2nd run. Fingers crossed.
Well done for starting and welcome to the world of running! All good advice here, take it slow, trust the program and don't get freaked out by what is coming up next - you will cope with it when you are ready. And if that means a few practice runs or even repeating a week here and there, that's fine - we are all different and the beauty of this program means you can adapt it to work exactly as you need it to.
Good luck and have fun!
