Weight loss
You may not necessarily lose weight, but you will tone up. Most of us find you have to hit the longer runs to start making a discernible difference to muscle and tone. But coupled with the sensible eating plan you should see a difference, especially if you mix up exercise by cross training. Muscle weighs heavier than fat, so the scales may not show it, but the tape measure does.
As you say probably a little too early yet, but hey this is setting you up for life, so what's a few weeks between friends? !!!!
Good luck and hope your running is happy.
I'm at the same place as you. I haven't measured my weight, but I have been keeping track of my hip measurement, which has gone down about an inch (hips is where I gain). I also notice that my belly is more shapely, though the measurement seems the same. So I don't see a big difference but I definitely see/feel one.
Because this is not specifically a weight loss programme... it does not always follow that you will lose weight..some do.. some not. It will make you fitter and more toned and taut!
A healthy eating regime combined with this, is an excellent combination...
Don't know what but I have definitely lost fat (not got any scales) , my belly has shrunk as have my man boobs and can see a definite change in my shape.
Don't focus on weight though as you will burn of fat but will gain muscle and as weight of muscle gained will balance out the weight of fat lost so solely focusing on weight could be a bit demoralising
Look for the physical changes to your body
I was getting disheartened I stopped getting weighed in week 5 as I could see a difference to how I looked but the scales didn't budge π₯. I continued following the C25K, I am now in week 8 and to my surprise I have finally lost 1/2 stone π so stick at it and reap the rewards ππ
If you do alongside myfitnesspal would be my suggestion for weight loss. The other benefits of running far outweigh burning off calories and I hope you will enjoy the journey π
