Ruchard7 - I'm new to this too so others more experienced will give you good advice.....I for one think you've done well to make a start - I'd been walking briskly regularly for a long time before I felt I wanted to go to the next level ans see if I could run! Good luck 👍

Hi richard7

I agree with louiselqsy.

Each run you will improve that little bit more....

I must admit I am convinced my walk sections are faster than my runs, but hey! We've made a start and we are going faster than those still on the couch!

Well done on starting and don't give up! 😀

Firstly welcome and well done for putting on those trainers and starting the program . I've just graduated and I've have repeated runs along the way as have a lot of the people on here . When I started I couldn't run for the 60 seconds and I now run 30 mins . You can do it , stick at it , it really doesn't matter how many times you reapeat a run or how many weeks it takes as long as you do it . Everyone one here will support you .

It is not cheating.... It is positively encouraged as every run and walk you do builds stamina and kms in the bank. The 9 week plan is not a strict calendar plan, some folk can take many months, because they have fitness issues, injuries, life stuff to tackle. So if it takes you a couple or more goes to do the 60 seconds, then that's fine. Better to do it safely, than overstrain early on and end up on the injury couch. If you do the run as prescribed then the advice is to move on to the next one, as each run stretches you just that little bit more.

Just let us know when you do it cos then we can celebrate with you. Happy running in W1

The first run nearly killed me! But I'm just about to do week 6 run 2! Never thought I'd do this so keep going and if you have to repeat any runs just do it. Just don't give up you might surprise yourself. Good luck 🤗

Absolutely not!

When you're told to run start off really really slowly even if you feel you are running on the spot. Slow is good!

This program is cleverly designed to get you through the runs building stamina as you go. Don't worry about speed or distance.

Well done for getting out there, there's loads of support and encouragement on this forum so keep reading the posts and let us know how you're getting on.

You can do this ... good luck and happy running!
