That's ok - take an extra rest day OR just go out anyway and see what you can achieve. I often find that at the very start of a run my legs feel a bit stiff and heavy but once I get into it they loosen up a bit. On other occasions when my legs really don't to cooperate I got for a swim instead and loosen them up. Don't get too fixated on the having to run every other day thing. For many of us, the programme takes a lot longer than nine weeks to complete and that's absolutely fine. I would encourage you to push yourself and try that run but don't be silly about it. The programme is challenging but it's also achievable.
Thank you for your support hunni I might just go anyway later. Will let u know π
Take the rest day as Rebecca says - early on trying to do it every other day can be a bit wearing. But then if the trainers are on or near your feet, you could try it out. Generally the mantra is if you are aching then that is to be expected because you are doing new stuff, if you are in pain then don't do anything until you know what that pain is and get it sorted. If you're aching an extra day rest should do it fine.
