Advise required please

Hi, i have started c25k and on week 5, I have come down with a cold which has knocked me for 6, my question is do i restart from week 5 again or go back further. I haven't done a run for a week hoping to get back by weekend.

I think it really depends how weak you are and only you can answer that. Week 6 reverts to intervals, so you may find you are okay with Run 1. If you hadn't got to R3 in week 5, (without giving it away), it is quite a step up from runs 1 and 2, so you may find that too hard. Personally if it was me I'd give W5 Run 2 a go and see how I felt.. If that goes well and you feel good, then go for Run 3.

Whichever you choose, do go very slowly, and even slower than that. Ease yourself back in. Good luck next time out.

How do you feel... if fully recovered, then head out again...maybe try your last Week 5 run.. slow and steady and see how it goes... listen to your body..it is your best guide :)

Yes that I was thinking, just wanted to see, what others advised, still not 100 % yet but a lot better than I was.

Maybe a brisk walk and a little jogette to test the running legs... the runs will still be there, waiting until you feel on form again!
