That's the "toxic 10", first 10 mins of any session usually the toughest 😊

Yeap, your body will have recognised you want it to go into 'run mode' . In simple terms that means it needs to process the oxygen in the body differently to usual. It takes around 10 mins for the body to recognise 'pump more oxygen' and then to catch up with the deficiency it has built in those first few minutes. Thats why some people say they have 'second wind'.

Every athlete experiences it every time. It is so helpful to recognise this as it helps you dig deep for those first 10 mins or so, knowing it will get easier!

For me it takes 12 mins to get to this point, we are all slightly different.

Yep, my body argues for at least 10 minutes before it gives up the fight!

I know that feeling! 😄 That's when I have to employ the services of my Inner Personal Trainer and have a stern word with myself
