2 weeks post graduation and I have developed a dull tight pain behind my knee on the inside. It eased off and I ran on Sunday. It is not sore when I run but on my rest days it is tight and as I said a full ache. I have a 5 K on the 27th August. I usually run on a Tuesday and Thursday but going to rest this week. Any ideas what this good be? I am not aware of hurting myself whilst running or stretching. All advice greatly received 😁

I would hesitate to give a diagnosis, but gentle daily stretching should not exacerbate it and may ease it.

I agree with IannodaTruffe. It doesnt ring any alarm bells and I would also suggest stretching as where you are describing sounds in the region of the insertion of the medial hamstring (semitendinosus) but this is a rare place to injure or have a tendinitis of, compared to the other side of the knee.

Thank you I take it I should not run on it for a couple of days?

I think it would be best to rest until you feel some improvement.
