After my first run on Monday evening I was beaming, I was telling the wife that I couldn't wait to go again Wednesday and that I felt I could it all again that night...
Wednesday evening came and after a long day the thought of the run was enough to make stop and reconsider.. thankfully I found myself putting on the running gear, grabbing my headphones and saying bye to the wife.. π
I found it a lot harder tonight than Monday for some reason, I'm hoping it was just the day taking its toll.
I completed it though and feel good for that.. I am looking forward to my next run on Friday but already starting to dread Week 2!!!

It is going to be fine. Some runs are harder, for so,so many reasons, weather, work, life...
Follow the plan....keep it slow and keep it steady... try not to peek ahead and just trust in what will follow The runs, when you really don't feel like them are often the ones that give the most joy! Letting the cares of the day pass into the air!
" No one will tell you it is going to be easy, but they will tell you, it is going to be so worth it"
Never dread, use your head positively - the best thing you ever do is to put the trainers on and head out. Oldfloss says don't peek and she is spot on, it kind of messes with your head.... it allows the gremlins in and we don't like gremlins here. Continue with the next run and let us know how you're doing.
You went and you did it. Well done you. Another day of the program under your belt. Keep going :0)
I'm on week 2 and I had an extremely similar feeling this evening; the weather was turning, it was windy and raining but I got the gear on and went. The half way bell rang and I was more than grateful tonight as I was feeling it in my calves and shins, I needed some windscreen wipers for my glasses and I was soaked but I slowed my pace a little and carried on regardless. So glad I did it. Rest day tomorrow. We'll see what Friday brings....
Don't dread it. Try not to look ahead to the next week until you actually read it. Running for 30 minutes seems very daunting at the beginning of the programme but in 8 weeks you'll be doing it and it's far more achievable than you may feel it is right now. After a couple of weeks it gets to be a routine and it's just something you do and that makes it easier. But there will always be times when it's harder than others - but you'll work through them.
I finished week 2 today and was shocked to see that the app said week 2, r3...I totally thought I was on run 2! Week one was hard for me and I had to do it twice before I felt comfortable enough to move on. I am going to try week 3 on saturday, but I have a feeling I will have to repeat week 2 again
