Parkrun #2

β€’1 Reply

Felt inspired to up the pace after reading about a group of octogenarians who ran Bushy park parkrun in 28 minutes or so.

Did my second one in 28 minutes 47 seconds however I have in the process hurt my ankle so serves me right. Slow and steady in future. Classic newbie graduate error I think....

Still had the special kind of happy feeling all day from running though,(hiding slight limp from husband who thinks I'm insane- thanks for support dear- luckily there's this forum!)

I read that report and was truly amazed at these sprightly 'old' runners. Just shows what can be achieved if you keep active. It doesn't say however whether they had been elite runners but still, they are amazing and a wonderful inspiration. Maybe I will have speeded up by the time I reach their age 🐒.
