Playlist which carried me through my first 5K

I had actually started the C25K program in April with the intention of completing it before the 5K run (organized by my workplace as part of the sports meet) on July 1st, but could only do upto W6R2, before the run, due to badminton practices and other trips.

Therefore, I made sure that I had a good playlist to carry me through the 5K run, since I knew I was somewhat underprepared for the run, and the track had a number of places where there were upward/downward inclines.

As I knew I could finish within 35 minutes, this is the playlist I went with, in this particular order:

1. The New Workout Plan (Explicit) - Kanye West

2. Power (Explicit) - Kanye West

3. Galway Girl - Ed Sheeran

4. La Prima Volta - F4

5. Black Skinhead (Explicit) - Kanye West

6. Good Life (Explicit) - Kanye West ft. T-Pain

7. Touch the Sky (Explicit) - Kanye West ft. Lupe Fiasco

8. All of the Lights (Explicit) - Kanye West

In case you aren't a big fan of Kanye, here are some other songs which you could go for:

1. The Rockafeller Skank - Fatboy Slim

2. HUMBLE. (Explicit) - Kendrick Lamar

3. The Anthem - Good Charlotte

4. Nancy Mulligan - Ed Sheeran

5. Charlie Brown - Coldplay

6. Pump It - The Black Eyed Peas

7. Rock That Body - The Black Eyed Peas

8. Get Low - Dillon Francis & DJ Snake

9. Perm - Bruno Mars

Let me know if anyone else has any good suggestions for a 5k run

Anything by faithless works for me when I'm struggling. Also a bit out there but ELO Mr Blue Skies works too!

I have discovered the Justin Timberlake playlist on Spotify. That and my favourite Ryan Adams is working for me

I ran a Parkrun on Saturday with a Spotify playlist for running , it was hard rock at a 180-190 beat. It was great, did not know any of the artists or any of the songs as it was not my normal taste, but it got me round and kept a smile on my face, nothing like hardcore German rock when your struggling up a hill at the end of the 4th km.๐Ÿ˜€๐Ÿ˜€๐Ÿ˜€
