Ran my 1st run yesterday, approx 3.4km in 27* heat, major beetroot face (as my son called it) but was surprised how good it felt!

First run.. well done. on running in that heat!!!! ... What programme are you following?

This is the one that the forum follows.. and is a very slow steady progression to 5K , after, 9 weeks?

Well done for starting this, but, ( and you will hear this advice a lot), go very steadily,

Because, although the 3.4K you did, will have included your warm and cool down walk, the idea of the programme is a very steady and slow build up of our running legs. Very slow and very steady.

You have nine weeks, or more if you need them to reach the three thirty minute runs...and to get there injury free and having had fun :)
