When my beloved Spot died on May 7th my reason for walking every day disappeared so I decided to take up C25. What a good decision. Not only have I just completed week 6, run2, but it has really helped with the grief I felt and my husband and I are now able to talk about getting another dog. But I will definitely keep up the running. It is so liberating.

I'm so sorry to hear that you lost a friend, but I'm happy to hear you found running along the way. And you know, once they are adult dogs, they certainly enjoy a run as well.

I am so sorry you lost your pal. Their loss does leave a whopping great hole doesn't it 🙁

I didn't get another dog of my own, I borrowed one. Best of both worlds 😃🐕

Yes we did think about that but Spot was a constant companion to my husband when he was working so borrowing a dog wouldn't work so well.

Thank you for your reply.

Indeed Spot loved a good run, especially chasing squirrels or pheasants!

My next door neighbour took his previous dog to work with him in the van everyday but his new young dog hates the van so it hasn't worked out as expected. The dog is lovely though 🙂

A sad start to your running programme, but here you are and doing well :) Slow and steady is the way ... :)
