W4r1...outside 😱

So OMG! It's a lot harder running outside than in the treadmill...and I may just have walked a bit more than I should!!

So do I go back to week 3 run 3 outside, or soldier on with week 4 run 1 or go to run 2??

Thanks 😊😊

Well done on venturing outside as you have discovered it is a whole new experience if you feel unsure try W3R3 and see how you feel or you can ease yourself in gently by doing two runs on the treadmill and one outside until you are comfortable.

You try it outdoor. It was tough but will get better. Let you body decides what's best for you.

Don't forget to slow down if you need to as you are now regulating your speed and, if you can, try to plan a route that avoids too many inclines at this stage. whether to move back, repeat the same run or move on is personal to you. Good luck with the next outdoor run.

Thanks guys. It certainly is so different it was quite a surprise. I'd like to be leaping like a gazelle across the serengeti but for now i'll live with puffing along the paths like a rather overweight hippo!! I'm going to try wk3 again and if it's not for me it's ok. Funny how it's more motivating staring at the wall with eyes on a timer. Surely that can't be good for the soul?

Hi, well done for getting outside. I much prefer it somehow the changing scenery slightly distracts me from the running effort! Just done WK 4 R1 and managed it but only by picking the flattest route possible and whenever I try a new route I seem to always end up walking further at the end.... oh well a longer cool down!

Well done! Glad it's not just me who found it tough! I kept saying one more tree...one more lamppost...still really hard but I will not give in!!! I like the long cool down...not too far I hope (bus ride home?πŸ˜‚).
