Wk6 Run 1 Done - the runs are no longer my worry.

The runs are hard and are still pushing me but I'm finding myself more worried about my calf muscles as the weeks go on. They are constantly aching and when i stop running they begin to cramp up every time. It's probably just because I use them a lot more now. Does anyone else get this?

Yes stiff legs can be a uncomfortable. I started to do toe lifts and heel drops as well as my usual post run stretches. Also make sure you are rehydrating properly your muscles need the water.

Good luck with the rest of week 6..its a good one. Nice and slow and steady does it..😊

Try stretching straight after each run nhs.uk/Livewell/c25k/Pages/...

Just slow down....I know you have got to Week 6, but try slowing down some more :)

Take the advice from Bluebirdrunner and IannodaTruffe , but also just go steadlity. You could be still landing heavily;try the lighter landing and ( I love this) Kiss the ground with your feet... :)

The impact on shins and calves and our whole body really is enormous. I had Sorbothane heel shock absorbers too, still have in one pair of my running shoes.. and they helped, as I was landing heavily :)
