Think how you will feel when it is done. Now don't look too far ahead. Just put your trainers on, plug in your earphones and do the 5 minute warm up walk. You're out now (in theory) so just see how it goes! You will feel invigorated!

If you feel tired and down in the dumps then the run is exactly what you need. You've got this!

Yes you do! It's only week 2! Are you 90? 😃

No?

Good! Let's have you then. Come on! You can do this

Running is good for improving the mood. It's something to do with getting oxygen across your brain apparently.

The run will really pick you up. Get changed and out the door, I always find by the time I do that I can't be bothered to turn back so i do my run and feel so much better afterwards.

As the others have said, the oomph will be there waiting for you at the end of your run. You may still feel tired but it will be a different and nicer tired (unless you are suffering from some ailment)

I've said this before but the crowbar yourself out the door runs are often the best so when you get home, get changed, and get out there and enjoy!

You can do it Hannah. I've got my last run coming up and that freaks me out. Not the running as such but being on my own so to speak.

Come on.. get out there.if this old snail can.. you can...!!!! :)

I did 5 K and three hills before 7 a.m.....:) (Zonked now... but that is not the point tee hee...and I have just spent the last hour being mulligrubbed by small runner in training!!! )

Seriously.. after a long day it will really release all the yukkiness and you will feel soooo much better :)

Go on... you know you want to :)

Hannah - sending you best wishes and hoping that you can get out of the dumps. If you are really tired and cannot face running, then get outside for a 30 miute walk. It's drier here in the south today, so you have no excuse.

But, like all of the other comments, I think that a run will give you some more oomph. Just remember the participants in Mind over Matter. Do you think that they felt 100% every running day?

Trust that your SO takes an upswing and gives you some respite.

I'm in at the same place as you both week and run day and motivation levels.

Going to start the tunes going whilst I get into my gear hoping that will help the motivation along with the nice support you have got.

If you need a someone at the same point to share your pain and of course achievements with, I'm right here. Maybe with can help each other get to the end hey.

I'm equally not looking forward to this run but here's hoping for that endorphin release post run.

Good luck

Laughter is the best medicine 😃

Running should be fun. There is usually sommat to laugh at out there even if it's only ourselves

The next run will be a blast 👍

Never forget why you started this program. I started W2R1 today morning and i definitely didn't wanted to go out there to run as my legs were'nt even allowing me to walk. Never had that pain in my legs but still went for it. Just give it a go and after a couple of runs you'll be flying. Believe me

Hannah, it does get easier, but I think others have overlooked that you are a student nurse and are no doubt working long hard hours. Don't overdo it. Take an extra rest day if necessary.

I try to avoid running after work for exactly the reasons you mentioned. I used to find myself dropping off at tea break, when I first started, but now feel little effect from a pre work 5k run.

We all face that problem,do we take the running steps as insisted by Laura or shall we walk it all, on the day?Does it matter?Don't push yourself to hard,(we all face problems on each run)Relax,Relax into each running day, quite a number of us,have not completed the program in 9 weeks as Irishjohn, found out when he did a survey.

For my part in this my 9weeks running has come to complete holt!(medical reasons), but, l hope one day to begin again from the start,l so enjoyed it,especially the support we give to each other on this forum,Stevy.
