Loads of people here have used the treadmill to do the programme. I did most of it on one but moved outside shortly after graduation. Running is running and it doesn't matter where you do it. Regarding speed, it's a personal thing and it's up to you. Whatever feels comfortable. Play around and hit different buttons. If you do venture outside just run very slowly as it's harder to pace yourself outside.

Good luck and enjoy the runs 🙂

You do what is. as Irishprincess says, exactly right for you...the treadmill is used for C25K by many Friends on the forum...:)

When you feel ready, maybe head outside.. it is very different, and harder in some ways... but so worth it:)

I am on week 3 on a treadmill. I searched for lots of ideas on settings for speed after I had played around and found a speed that suited me, and found everything quoted on the internet was faster than my settings. Have stuck to them as the advice here is slow and steady. I run 1mph faster than I walk. Good luck finding yours

You can do it on a treadmill no problem, just find a pace where you can speak whilst running e.g. where you are not out of breath. Good luck

I graduated on the treadmill too!

As far as pace goes I completely agree with other comments, it has to be individual to you, your own circumstances and physiology etc. The only thing I will say is don't go too fast! Slow and steady wins the race. Over exerting yourself now will bring little reward in the future as you may end up with injury, find it a mentally impossible task, become disheartened and potentially give up.

Remember your task is to complete c25k, not to break any world records!
