ICE. " In case of emergency" on a password locked phone.

In the Rfc household lately we have been organising ourselves to take into consideration MrRfc has a new kidney.

One of the things that has come to light for both of us is that it is important to have medical information "In Case of Emergency" that is accessible for anyone to see if we are in an accident or something. It is more important for him than me but still relevant for me.

I have always has ICE on my phone for when I'm out running so I was just thinking of amdending that. The thing I hadn't realised that since I started using my phone for ICE I have changed phone multiple times and now realise that no one can access it because of the iPhone lock.

So I've done a bit of research and come up with this helpful information. I hope it helps.

This is great RFC. I will try this later.

I also always carry my Parkrun barcode, which has an ICE contact printed on it.....just in case.

Happy running all.

Thanks RFC useful reminder for everyone. I saw wrist bands here a while ago, you could choose which info to have on it. I think it was Oldgit who posted the link.

I often wondered about this... I also noticed that they have installed a defibrillator in my village... so hopefully this old snail will be covered for emergencies :)

Thanks for posting, RFC.

For Android 5.1 users, the info can be stored under Settings>Security>Owner Info.
