Sitting here eating breakfast with grandsprocket - runner's porridge i.e. with a bit of nut butter in it - and that pic has made me a little bit tearful.

Enjoy your day.

I was a bit emotional this morning as this will be my last mother's day with my little chick at home (he will be off to Uni in Sept).

Then I called up my mum, and she said well we mean as much to each other now as we ever did when I lived at home - actually much, much more these days - and that cheered me up. My mum is 82 and just absolutely lovely. I'm so lucky to still have her, and I can't imagine her not being on the end of the phone for all my questions (mostly about jam-making!).

Then that made me think of chums here who who have lost their mums recently - Ali and Poppy particularly - I'm sure if there is a 'mum heaven' they are both smiling down on you today xxx

I did a run this morning.. and thought of Ali and Pops...I thought also about my Mum and Nan, (My Nan lived with us and looked after me.. as Mum worked. Poor Dad.. a house full of women ! ) :)

I stopped at my big tree and had a breather and sent them love. I miss them both. You are lucky , hope you had a lovely day x

Thank you so much Sue , that is so kind of you xxx

I went to Church and lit a candle for my Mam, and all the ladies in the Congregation ( regardless of whether they are Mothers or not ) received a flower . Such a lovely gesture , I thought :-) xxx

I picked spring flowers this morning, and some gloriously butter yellow forsythia, and took them to my parent's grave for Mothering Sunday. I think of my mum everyday mind you 😀 I baked her scone recipe to mark the occasion, and drank a hot cuppa tea in her memory. Cheers ma 🙂
