A change of scenery

After struggling with the first 2 runs of Wk 7 have decided to take Laura's advice and change the routine. So got up early this am to do the third run on a different route. There were a couple of obstacles I had to walk round/up (workmen & steps) so to compensate I added 3 mins at the end. Don't think I could have managed any extra before, but this one felt easier. Thanks Laura!

  • it's strange how in the early weeks we look at W5R3 and onwards and wonder just how we'll manage to step up to the longer runs. I don't know how, but it does work! Laura certainly helps a lot, but you put in all the hard work! Congratulations on a good run - couple of weeks to go and you'll be joining the graduates!

  • Thanks and this forum has helped me too - didn't think I'd get this far! I think after the thrill of being able to do a step up, we expect it to get easier but the body is lagging behind the mind and it doesn't! So a change of routine is a distraction. Onwards and upwards...
