A drama queen checks in !

I just want to thank this community for motivation and encouragement. I ran on Saturday with a heavy heart and wondering if I was ever going to enjoy running for pleasure ( hence the drama ) . I have been out this morning to begin week 4 . I can't tell you how exhilarating it was to achieve running for 5 mins and still feel I could maybe have another 30 seconds in the tank. My knees are just about learning to cope with my demands on them. The breathing is getting under control . I have scoured the posts on here, some new, some old posts and its knowing the gremlins do exist for all but can be beaten . Every story is different , who knows how I'll feel at the next run on Thursday but I will do it . I just would like to say that having this forum is a real boost . For doubters and drama queens please use this community !

Nothing wrong with a bit of Drama :) You are doing amazingly!

To feel you have a bit left in there is perfect! Finish in style like our Laura says!

Onward and Upward :)

Hurrah for you! It is amazing how wonderful we feel after a run, especially when we start out feeling that we don't want to do it or that we aren't going to get to the end. There are always gremlins who start to whisper in your ear but just ignore them, lace up those running shoes & get out there. When I started this program on Boxing day 2016 running for 30 minutes seemed impossible, running for 60 seconds was daunting & I was counting down every second till I could walk again and now, at the end of the program, I am amazed at how far I have come & that I can run for 30 minutes and occasionally even have enough energy for a sprint at the end.

You are doing really well, well done! We can cage those gremlins for sure.

Why not begin some knee strengthening exercises to help the journey?

Enjoy🏃🏼‍♀️😃

Doubters and Drama Queens...love it! I'm a paid up member of that group😂

This forum keeps my doubts and dramas to the minimum though and I'm so thankful for it.

Now you can run for 5 minutes without stopping. Soon it will be more and it sounds like you're on top of what those gremlins are likely to throw at you!

Really well done. ☺
