Hi everyone. I'm a male in my mid-40s, overweight but reasonably active via amateur dramatics. I used to enjoy the odd long bike ride in the summer weekends but family demands mean I can't do that any more. So I decided to give running a go, even though the last time was 32 years ago at school when I managed to run 800m in 3:52.
Just completed W3R1 today. No problems so far, but two out of three runs have been on treadmills, which I know is cheating a little!
My goal is to do a parkrun in April. I'd like to lose weight too, but getting more active is my main goal.

Well done! doing c25k on the treadmill isn't cheating, it all counts! And it goes hand in hand, that you carry on with the running, watch your diet, you lose weight! even more so with the excercise! My nephew in his 40s started Parkrun last year with me and is now hooked, to date he's done 28! 😊
