Week 3 run 1 was fairly easy but today I found run 2 hard in the freezing cold weather.. but completed it all ok.

Going online to order some warmer leggings for starters and maybe a better jacket.

I'd rather it was raining!

I bought thermal leggings in my first winter (three ago!) and they are brilliant for really cold days. Happy shopping!

Think that is what I need, not sure what ones to go for.

I did order some M&S long leggings (not thermal but thicker than my gym ones) but being a petite frame found the waist came up far too high so they are going back.

Mine are More Mile and I'm small too. I normally take a 10 in everyday clothes but I had to order 8 in these leggings. They do look tiny but obviously stretch and fit beautifully. Definitely recommended.

My slinkiest ones are Adidas I am only little and they fit beautifully. They were under £20. Also slinky but expensive -but they are fab - are my Gore ones. My winter Ron Hill hi viz jobs are warm but a bit Norah Batty for my liking 😀

Happy shopping 🙂

Will look up some of these brands ^^

I was looking at Nike but so expensive! although I might go to the Nike outlet again as got a few bits in there that fitted well and I like.

I'm only an 8-10 in clothes but small waist, big hips and very short - I should probably go to the shops and try things on as never know which size to go for but think will just order a few online and hope..

I can see me ending up with a whole 'running wardrobe'...

Nike Filament were great and ticked all the boxes but they stopped doing them. If you could find them I would grab a pair. still have my original pair and treasure them. Nike are a good fit. I get Small as I am five foot three and size eight to ten. Some tights are available in XS. I like a tie cord at the waist, back zip pocket and zip ankles.

I have some Nike cropped leggings in small which seemed a nice fit and not too high on the waist so have ordered a pair in same size in the warmer ones hoping they will fit similarly... according to the size chart my waist is an XS but hips are a S so am playing safe!! I also ordered a pair of the cheaper More Mile ones in the link at the top to see how I get on with both.

I figure if I have something to keep me warm, whatever it's like, I can keep going with the programme while I spend more time hunting around the shops for more options!

I wasn't sure about zip ankles, but presume there is material underneath so you don't feel the cold zip??!!

Yep, the cold isn't great but get yourself some thermal running gear. Well done for getting through regardless. :)

I hope they turn up before my next run! Temps are down to -3 this weekend and it was already much harder today than in the rain at the beginning of the week..

No cold zip sensation, no. Zips, chords and pockets cost money so some makers tend to do one and not the other. Bah!

Also consider cold weather compression leggings. Sub Sports, on Amazon, sell them for a reasonable price.

Not entirely sure what the compression leggings do tbh.. will google :-)

Temps look low for next week, not going to enjoy this as much!
