You will! Go nice and slow. Slow is just fine and will help with puff to get you to the end of the session. Try and enjoy yourself! Put a smile on your face and give yourself a pat on the back for making a start

Stick with it! ☺

Currently sat on the sofa having downloaded the podcasts trying to get myself to go for the first one, so you're way ahead of me already ;) Starting's always the hardest bit, just remind yourself that it WILL get easier, you're just in a little rut at the moment! Good luck!

Honestly, do stick with it. Some of us, me included, took much longer than 9 weeks to do this programme.

Keep repeating each run until you've completed it properly (and that doesn't mean running fast - many of us wonder if our running is actually slower than our walking pace!).

Once you've managed to run the Week 1 8 x 60 seconds, move on to Week 2, and then keep repeating that one until you manage it, and so on. Some people are already fairly fit and manage to move on without repeats, but I took 17 weeks and there are people here who have taken much longer than that.

The thing is that, unless you get injured or ill, you WILL manage the programme in the end, and the complete and utter joy that brings will make it all worthwhile. Then the fun part starts as you plan your running programme for the rest of your life!

That makes me feel much better . 17 weeks sounds more relastic. As I was thinking there is no way I'd complete it in 8 or 9 . Yes I will get there thank you

You will, you will! If you're doing it and finishing it then I'm guessing you're already ahead of where you were when you started. It will be gradual but you'll get there! Make sure you're taking rest days between runs (more than one is fine if you need to let your muscles recover). Go slow, slow, slow. You really can do this! If you finished W1D1 then you can move on to W1D2! What you're already doing is SO much better than if you were sitting on the sofa! Keep at it. :)

Well done for starting the programme. Try not to run too fast. I often felt that i couldn't do it, but if i had completed all of the runs for a week then i moved on to the next week. It is amazing what we can achieve. just pace yourself. I am 55, overweight and always joked that I couldn't run for a bus! If I can do it believe me anyone can. Stick with it and believe :-)

Have you finished the runs each day? Or how many are you doing? (There's 8 runs each day in wk1)

I've been doing the day one week one over and over that is 6 runs each day today will be my 4th day

So you're not using the NHS one? It's 8 runs in wk 1.

I would just say if you have completed the week's programme, then you should move on. You will be ready to. 😃

Ah ! from what I read you have made some progress already if you can now do the whole session because you couldn't to begin with could you ? You may be unfit now but the whole point is to be less unfit right ? and you ARE doing that. Slowly but surely and you'll get there.....
