Completed Wk5 ...phew!

I'd read on here that it involved a 20min run so I gave myself an extra days rest as my legs were stiff from cycling - bought a pair of running shoes (only cheapies from Aldi this week) and I did it! I had to slow down as I started off too quickly - that was due to the shoes, what a difference they made. I was puffing at the end but recovered quickly so was pleased overall. Hoping to start Wk6 tonight...nervous whether I can do it again

  • Isn't that run a fabulous feeling? Well done you. For week 6, you're back to the run/walk for a bit and that can throw some people, so take it easy. But you've nailed week 5 run 3 and that is a major milestone in the programme. And now those new shoes and your determination will take you all the way to graduation in no time :) :)

  • Of course you can! Just go very steadily. Slow but sure that's the mantra

    Have fun!

  • Yes, I realised after a short while I'd started to fast, so slowed down and kept it very steady...brilliant...thank you
