Help with Pictures

How does everyone other than me get their pictures the right way up. When I do mine straight from my phone they look the right way up but then turn sideways as soon as I submit.

My phone camera is bazookered! So my pictures come from a memory card in my camera and are then transferred to my laptop. Not sure how to stop the wrong aspect happening when you transfer from a phone

I think my graduation run picture is upside down! I haven't got a real solution, but I've started using an app (livecollage) which allows me to make a collage of more than one picture. That collage then always posts the right way up. It also allows me to post more than one picture at a time - kills two birds with one stone!

If you open the photo in an image editor on a computer then you will see what it's true orientation is and can rotate it to suit. It all depends on how you held your camera/phone/ tablet when you took the photo.
