Did my first ever 5k on Saturday so today's run was my first run afterwards. i decided to ease myself into it with a nice easy 30 minute run n it was tough my legs are still aching a little from Saturday. Not sure when to push myself to do more going to download a 5k+ app

I graduated 11 weeks ago and the majority of advice at the time was to consolidate 3x30 mins a week for around 4 weeks. Just builds you a nice habit and 'base' :)

Then you can go out there and mix it up :)

I've pretty much ran two 30 min runs and a 5k per week since graduation.. working good for me atm.. been 3weeks since graduation.. going to switch now to two 5ks and one 30 min... I feel that's plenty for now.. I'm pushing that bit because rfl in two weeks time..

Go with your running.. just be careful of overdoing.. and remember rest days :)

Haha - I bet you didn't use to call a 30 minute run a nice easy one!

Thanks guys, I will probably stick with three 30min runs for a few weeks then up it to 40 mins and maybe by that time I'll be nearer a 40 min 5k time and can add a few 5ks into my weekly runs.

I don't think I could have gotten through the c25k without all the great support n advice from this forum. Expecially after how tough it was in the beginning, definitely can't believe I'm running for any length of time and enjoying it.
