Going for it!

Well after no runs at all for 4 weeks I went out last night. Took it easy and was absolutely so relieved that by some miracle my body was able to cope with 20 minutes. Probably could've done longer but thought I'd better not spoil things and now looking forward to next run on Thursday. 😄

It is amazing what we're capable of, isn't it? 4 weeks is a long time, but you may be stronger for the break. Happy running😈

Sounds familiar! 8 weeks ago, after reaching 9k as had stupidly entered a 10k for the middle of this month, injury struck for the first time since starting all this last November. Knee and sciatic nerve in painful partnership and unable to run. Tried after 4 weeks, managed about 25 minutes but pain next day back again ... until Monday this week when decided I'd had enough and went out with hubs for a gentle 30 minutes. Managed 4.5k in that time, achy but not painful so far so going again tomorrow in the hope that normal service will be resumed ... a colleague who is a seasoned runner told me once that there's nothing worse than a runner that can't run ... how right she was! Hope all continues to go well for you :-)

Oh I do hope you're completely back to health. I was so scared that I was going to have to restart the programme but.....phew! Good luck to you 👍🏻

Wow! Thats excellent. Well done! It's also good to know that our bodies will still cope after a break. I worry if I don't run for 2 days how I will be the next time :-D

I know exactly what you mean, I used to worry about three days! That four week break was not what I had intended but family needed me. This morning I feel fine too 😄
