Hi
I'm new here, just about to start week 5 and keep putting it off, the reason is I've done week 4 4 times and still find if incredibly difficult, have only managed to complete the second 5 min run once. Not sure what to do.
Hi

Go to the next run. You've done week 4 (four times!) and this has prepared you for the next week. It is hard. If it was easy everyone would do it and although there are loads of converts here we don't represent the vast majority of the population. The vast majority will not do this because it's not easy and it takes work and effort and sweat.
So, a huge well done to you for starting this and for getting to week 5. Keep at it. In each run you are building stamina and strength and preparing your body for the next hike and you are ready for it. Just run very, very slowly. The programme works and it will be so worth it when you reach the end. Good luck!
Try w5. I know it sounds hard running for 20 min but actually it is easier to run through than to keep stopping and starting. After you get through the first 10 mins or so, you'll be in your stride. You might still need to fight your gremlins to keep going the full 20 min but I am pretty sure you can do it. The worst that can happen is you stop running and brisk walk to the end. It is no big deal. If that happens, just have another go next time.
You're ready for the next run. Go for it! This plan is designed to be on the edge of your limitations so it will never be easy. It'll only get more comfortable the further down the course you get. The fact that you can complete week 4 means you are ready. Remember to keep those gremlins in check - you really can do it
Thank you so much everyone, wish I had joined this forum 4 weeks ago! I'm going for week 5 tomorrow x
