W2R2 done. The weatherman said it wouldn't be raining here until around 10 am so I went early, 6 am, to avoid the rain - he lied. As soon as I left the house it started a little bit; decisions, decisions, give up or go on. I was out of bed, in my running 'kit' and out of the house so I ran. I got soaked but actually it's quite nice running in the rain, it's cooler and no-one can tell how much sweat there is. Speaking of sweat, why am I more sweaty (buckets and buckets) when I've finished than when I'm running? It certainly isn't because the speed I'm going at evaporates it quickly!
Wet run: W2R2 done. The weatherman said it... - Couch to 5K
Wet run
Yes, it was the same for me here too - running in drizzle this morning was very refreshing!
Same here but i have been lucky so far as it is the first time i have had to run in the rain.
The weather folk do tell fibs... all the time...
Rain can be fun... and we certainly get plenty, so well done you for getting out there.
As my husband says to me.."It's only a drop of rain", usually as he sits in bed sipping tea!!!
I am also waayyyyy more sweaty when I have stopped than when I am running. No idea about the scientific reason but I tend to think it's my body crying because I have just been mean enough to drag it outside when it could have been laying on the couch 😂 Would be interested to know the real reason though.
Rain is good. Get yourselves a cap and the rain hopefully bounces off so it doesn't run down your face. It's bucketing it down at the moment and I've got to turn out with the dog and pull in a 12k at some point. The dog loves rain, thankfully. He doesn't have a cap though, poor thing
Enjoy your running Helena. C25k is the business and will make a runner out of you. Keep going, slow but sure.
