I haven't been on the board for soooo long but I have been running - through many adventures. Anyway, thought this might encourage anybody who might be starting out - I graduated C25K in March last year and last month ran my first marathon! Yes, really! I'm 50 in November, was overweight and incredibly unfit when I started, living an utterly sedentary lifestyle, but bit by bit, week by week I carried on where 'Laura' left off , learning all the time
Good luck all, happy running

Thanks for saying this. I did week 4 day 1 two weeks ago and then got ill so went out last night and started week 3 again and it was a struggle. I keep thinking I am never going to to manage this so it's nice to know it is possible and you just have to keep going.
You've given me hope! I love reading posts like yours because it inspires me to do my absolute best. What a fantastic achievement; I'm in awe. 💪💪💪
I doubt that I will ever want to run a marathon (doing week 9 now), but nevertheless your story is inspirational and encouraging, because you're telling me I could if I would. Thank you for sharing.
