Thanks XF, fab day, I knocked 9 minutes off last years time, came in at 1hr 10, which i am super pleased with.  It's a great course, great atmosphere, so if you're ever in the vicinity. ........

It was lovely to meet Mrs Millwalki and the millwalkiettes too

Relatively local to me, but have a fair bit of training to do before I'll feel confident enough to enter :)

Well done for beating you previous!

Well, there's a goal if you want, and if I'm there, I'll come with you......just ask Curlygirly2, I park run at cambridge too....go on, you know you want to!   Cambourne last year was my first 10k event, it was great, all abilities, real community atmosphere.

I may just take you up on that offer. Need to start running outside and doing a park run as I've only really trained on the treadmill. Wimpole is my closest, but I keep hearing about "The Hill" and I'm still wimping out as I can't quite do 5k yet. I'm doing the Wineathlon in Cambridge which is about 10k in September, so I could potentially do Camborne next year. I'd love to do the Bear Grylls Survival race too, but I think that'll be too much this year!

I've done wimpole once, it's mostly off road, the ground is a bit uneven - cattle about and all that, gets very boggy in places, and 'that hill' yes, it's short and sharp, most people walk up it (I did) good for training though, I'm hoping to go there more through the summer - to make friends with 'the hill', otherwise it's milton country park, which does get muddy in the winter, but is mostly gravel paths and flat.

I would say go to park run, the mistake I made was waiting until I could 'jog'  5k, before going, use it as part of your training, lots of people run-walk, or just walk, do it, go, you'll love it, and don't forget your bar code! 😄 park run is the best invention ever!

Great to see Madge and Mr Madge today. Weather was fantastic and I managed to knock a few minutes of last years time. Unlike speedy Madge who smashed last years 😀👍

Good to meet you, Mrs Millwalki and the millwalkiettes today, a good day!  I think that one will be a permenant fixture in the diary for  a while yet...whether I'll be able to repeat today's performance is another matter!

Happy days! 😊
