I'm on w6r2 .. not ran since Saturday now.. due to injury.. how many days before I would start to lose fitness level.. I mean.. before I might have to rerun a part of the program? Suppose we are all different.. I'm walking about 4k a day.. plus usual housework.. So I'm not totally inactive while on the ic. :(

Definitely not so soon sparky! I've taken 5 rest days due to illness and just picked up where I left off. Don't worry :)

I was at the same stage before Christmas and then had a self inflicted three week break from running (no injury), when I re-started I decided to go back to week 5 but I don't think this made much difference. Depending upon your how long you're off, I would suggest you continue from where you left off, then if you find it too much you can go back to a more comfy level, but give it a go first.

More experienced people may have different ideas, if so heed their advice ahead of mine.

Due to life getting in the way I could only manage 2 runs a week from about W7, both on a weekend, so 5 days between. It's still the case post graduation and there is no noticeable decline in my fitness in between runs x

I had two weeks off after I got the lurgy.. it was fine.. . You don't lose your fitness that quickly.

Start slowly, where you left off and your body will tell you whether you are pushing too hard :)

I reckon your legs somehow remember what you've done before and you're going to be just fine to pick up where you left off, taking it nice and slow. Hope you recover soon :)

I had a couple of weeks off and I just re-did my last run - If I'm honest it was more for myself confidence as I was fine - if you are worried you could always do this

Sparky sorry to hear you're not well. It is frustrating but do take some time to rest. I did w6r1 on Monday and since then I have felt twinges in my back. I'm struggling to get motivated and with the holiday coming up this weekend it's throwing everything out of sync. So I have had a word with myself and am just going to slow down a bit and listen to my body, as they tell you on here. If it takes me longer to reach graduation so what I will still have achieved it. The fact that we've both achieved running for 20 minutes is pretty awesome don't you think?

Anyway look after yourself. You'll soon be back out there!
