Parkrun blues

Had a head cold all week that won't go away,

So no parkrun for me today.

I thought of volunteering instead,

But standing in a muddy field would not help my head,

as the forecast was rain,

Plus spreading my germs I must refrain.

So curled up in bed,

Resting my aching head.

But the frustrations remain,

Until I can get out there running again
